VHF radio

Distress = Emergency

In situations risking human lives (fire onboard, boat is sinking, man overboard, etc and you can’t resolve the situation by yourself) send a distress call. If you are unfamiliar with how to do it just press the red distress-button on the VHF radio during 4 seconds (if using a handheld VHF keep it vertical and as high up as possible).
